These worked perfectly as a light for under the awning of our travel trailer. The length was almost perfect, I just had to trip about 6 inches from the end. It cut easily with household scissors at the designated cut lines. The adhesive seems strong and it bonded quickly to the aluminum channel that attaches the awning to the camper.I also purchased the AC adaptor and remote kit shown at the bottom of the Amazon product page and am very happy I did. I ran an AC cord out one of the storage cabinets and plugged in there. I'll need to find a more permanent wiring solution but this works for now. The remote kit allows them to blink, etc. but the handiest feature is the remote on/off capability.Overall this could not have been easier to install and provided better value for what I spent. Very happy!

I just built a new barn far from any power. We need some light in the barn for occasional evening/night activities. After looking at a myriad of possibilities including solar, I bought two reels of the soft white LEDs, zip tied them to a cross member in the barn (about 33 feet in length), got a deep cycle marine starting battery, and a regular 120V light switch. I get approximately 15 hours of light between battery charges.

Worked well. I bought 5 of these for my living room vaulted ceiling and 4 for my Masterbed vaulted ceiling. I used 2 power supplies for each room. For living room, I connected 3 together for 1 power supply and connected 2 together for the 2nd power supply. The intensity of the lights decreased the farther the LED was away from the power supply, especially with 3 of these lights connected together. That's one reason I got the Daylight White lights - it is brighter than the Yellow lights.
